Gateway 3DS System update 8.0.0

As we all know the Nintendo update the 3DS console to 8.0.0 few days ago then it will have some effects on us 3DS flashcard gateway 3ds. Firstly, look at the official announcement.

Currently do not update emunand to this version as it will not boot. Old emunand versions (7.x or lower) will keep booting fine.
- If you did update emunand, do not worry. Our next firmware update will bring your updated emunand back to life.
- This update uses the same encryption as 7.x, only applied to more system processes which prevents emunand booting.
- We are still on track on getting our next firmware out, this update does not change much in our game plan.
Thank you for your patience once again and as always ENJOY.

One, From this, we can see that we’d better not update emuNand to 8.0.0 for it is no working. But if you already did, no worry that waiting the next gateway firmware to reboot it soon.

Two, here really want to underline a problem that gateway 3ds have to work on the system of 4.1-4.5. If your system is already on a firmware higher than 4.5, then you won't have a reason to get a Gateway as it won't work on your system.
Whenever Gateway refers to a firmware higher than 4.5, they are strictly speaking of emunand compatibility only. The 7.x firmware cracking is referring to emunand and game support of 7.x I believe.

Three, give a advise that please always backup your emuNand before upgrading!

Four, 99% of games right now work with 7.1 nonetheless, hope that they release the 8.x version for gateway soon.

Gateway 3DS running 7.x games and 7.x applications soon!

Gateway 3DS is the prime flash card for 3DS and support all 3ds rom to date. With updated to gateway 2.2 “OMEGA” gateway support Muti-rom already along with other big bonus which support multiple Gateway firmwares out there, emuNAND,eshop, backup roms. Recently, the team said gateway will run 7.x games and 7.x applications like eShop, PokeBank and YouTube soon!

As it’s said that the gateway team is working hard to support 3ds 6.x consoles. In my eyes, the news is thrilling and deserve the focus. What’s more, the use of gateway is easy and you can enjoy whatever you prefer games by only one SD card after drop and drag all of them into sd. If you’d like to, after some effort you can use the blue card to play DS  games  Yeap, sounds good! It seems to have two flashcards both for 3ds games and ds games just buying one gateway 3DS.
