Gateway 3DS Card Bypass Region Locking and Firmware Limiting

Firmware spoofing and region free have been confirmed by the public release of the firmware V1.1A. It is a good news for us that Gateway 3DS can bypass region locking. It means that even if your 3DS console is on firmware ver. 4.5, you can play 5.1.0 games.

Mario and Luigi Dream team, which is 5.1 version, run perfectly on 3DS 4.5 console with Gateway 3DS cart. Some 3DS games are tested on Gateway 3DS card. The Japanese 3DS game, ミク and Future Stars Project mirai, run in a European 3DS console perfectly. And the European 3DS game , Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, works on a Korea 3DS console successfully.

With Gateway 3DS flashcart, your console has to be on fw 4.1 to 4.5. However, you can still play games, which requires a higher firmware. Some players, whose consoles on 5.1, 6.1, 6.2 firmware version, even think about downgrade their 3DS consoles to 4.5.
