Update! How to Update r4i gold 3ds card for NDSi/NDSL/N3DS/N3DS XL

N3DS/XL firmware has been updated to v7.1.0-16 for ages, this time firmware update don’t block any flash cart. if you facing problem "an error has occurred, please...." then it means you need to update your card to make it work on your latest 3ds xl firmware. Steps
1. download the latest wood firmware v1.64 from r4ids.cn
 2. Unzip it. Open the folder and copy the root files into your micro sd card

3. download the N3DS V6.2.0-12 updated patch


4. unzip it,open the folder and you will see these two files

For NDS Lite Users :

1) if you update your r4i gold rts 3ds by NDS/NDSL,you need put these files into your micro sd card

2) insert your micro sd card into your r4i gold and put them together your NDS and boot up R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSL.nds

4) Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin

5 ) After updating your card with sucess, your r4i gold 3ds can support 3DS V7.1.0-16 now.

For DSi and 3DS Users

For DSi console user:

1) you need put these files into your micro sd card

2 ) insert your micro sd card into your r4i gold and put them together your NDS and boot up R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSi_3DS.nds to update your r4i gold 3ds.

3) Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin.


4) After updating your card with sucess, your r4i gold 3ds can support 3DSV7.1.0-16 now

How to Set up gateway 3ds card “OMEGA” to play Eshop games?

The gateway 3ds with the amazing “OMEGA” is out here for months and as we all know, it support 3DS V4.1~4.5 only for 3ds games. But what would you do when you want to play the E-Shop games? Firstly, with the “OMEGA”, Gateway not only support muti-rom, game dump but eshop.
However, it requires the latest 3ds console firmware (currently it is V7.1.0-16),  we can not update the console through eshop because if we do that, we can not use gateway 3ds to play backup games any more,  but now gateway 3ds card has the emuNAND feature which can emuNAND the V7.1.0-16 firmware on your V4.1 to V4.5 3ds firmware.  After you set up this feaature, you can also log in eshop and play eshop games on your V7.1.0-16 console with gateway 3ds card.

Here is the guide to tell you how to set up gateway 3ds emuNAND to play eshop games.
Notice:  Before you set up this feature, we recommend you backup your 3ds NAND system files with gateway 3ds card.

Prepared tools ：
Gateway 3ds cart, 3DS console version 4.1~4.5, a Micro SD card.

Step 1 Download the latest gateway 3ds firmware V2.1 from here: gateway 3ds V2.1 OMEGA
Get the zip file of the V2.1 and Unzip it.

Step 2    Setting up the gateway 3ds blue card
Please format the prepared SD Card and drop all the contents inside to the root of your sd card and insert the gateway 3ds blue card with sd card into your 3ds console.  Power on.

Click the icon to log in  >>Click the micro sd card >>Click the gateway installer to install
Click A to start >> Just wait until the install finish.

Step 3 Setting up the sd card.
Format the sd card before you use it.
Find out the V2.1 folder which you have downloaded in the step 1
Click it and check the Launcher.dat file
Copy it and put it on the root of your sd card.
put the sd card back into the 3ds slot, go to the system settings nintendo.
Click other settings >>Click Profile >>then the console will go the gateway menu.

Use the Left/right button and move to the last icon which is the format emunand icon

Just click it

Click Start to run it   then it starts processing, make sure do not power off your console until it finishes.  and it needs about 5 or more mins to process it.

After done, you will see your 3ds console firmware is GW33D   (V4.1-V4.5) means you have done it successfully.

Then now you can update your 3ds console firmware to the latest version under GW3D  firmware.

Before you do this update. make sure do it under the GW3D firmware mode, which means you must see your 3ds version is GW3D  (4.1 to V4.5) and then update. Again, make sure update your 3ds console from GW3D firmware to GW3D V7.1.0-16.

The update also requires the wifi set up.

The update method is just same as normal, go to the system settings, finf the system update and  click to update.

After you update it usccessfully, you would see your system firmware is already on GW3D V7.1.0-16 now.   then you can just do all things like your 3ds console is already on V7.1.0-16.

How to Set up for updating MT-card firmware V1.2

MT official released a new software ver. 1.2 yesterday .With the MT-card V1.2, MT card supports animal crossing, pokemon XY. This update program is to update the FPGA chip and CPU data, no need to use another launcher.dat, same V.1.1 launcher.dat in the SD card.

1. Download the MT_Card V1.2 software and Unzip the file, click to run the program file MT_Card_Updater v1.2a.exe.

2. Use a micro USB cable to connect MT card to the computer.

3. After connecting , the computer will automatically install the drivce, and then shows you a picture as below, “update” is available.Click“update”,it will detect the driver installation of MT card.                      

4. Then , there will be a warning to ask if you want to update your MT-Card firmware from V1.1 to V1.2.

Sure you can click “YES” to go on . But please don’t disconnect during the

updating.

When you look at the “OK/ Update Success!”  message , then it means you havesuccessfully update your mt card to V1.2
