How to update Acekard 2i to work on the 3DS console?

Maybe you have a DSi or DS Lite using the Acekard 2i before but recently you buy a 3DS console and are looking for something useful to update the Acekard to work on the Nintendo 3DS.

How to program the AceKard 2i in a DS or DS Lite to enable DSi & 3DS use.

Step 1. Download the AKAIO 1.9,  unzip it and drag it into the prepared SD card.

Step 2. Get the  Firmware Update of AK2i for console 3DS4.3 and DSi1.4.4. afterward extract it too and copy the folder into the same SD card. Then you get the pic below

Step 3. If you're using DSi or DSXL or 3DS to update the Acekard 2i, please use ak2ifw_update_3ds43_dsi144_onDSi_DSXL_3DS.nds to update. please press START key directly to finish update.

If you're using DSL or DS, please use ak2ifw_update_3ds43_dsi144_onDSL.nds to update and confirm you copy the right file. Then please eject your AK2i and reinsert it after the update program is running. Then press B, then press START key to finish update.

Step 4. Above has been done and the Acekard support 3DS 4.3 already.


Note: 1. This update file DOES NOT support AK2i whose HWID is '44' temporarily. You can find your HWID of AK2i by selecting "help" after pressing START in AK2i menu. AK2i whose HWID is '44' only exsit in the cards sold before Feb. 2009.

      2. Please NEVER UPDATE your console before you update your AK2i! Or you COULD NOT run your AK2i! Because latest Acekard 2i support 3DS 4.3.0 and DSi V1.4.4.

Tips: If your console is above 4.3, recommend the r4i gold 3ds supporting 3DS 7.1.0-16 & 7.2.0-17 for DS games and r4i gold deluxe edition, MT-Card with 3DS 4.5~4.1 for playing 3DS games.
