Which R4i 3DS Card can Work for 2DS?

Nintendo has released its new generation console—2DS. The firmware or system is on v6.0.0-12. Players can not only play DS games, but also play 3DS games with 2DS. Here is the comparison between 2DS, 3DS and 3DS XL.

How to Update Firmware of R4i gold 3DS card to Work on 3DS 6.2.0-12U

R4i gold 3DS official team has released upgrade patch for Nintendo newest 3DS firmware 6.2.0-12U.

Pay attention that you must not update your 3DS to 6.2.0 before upgrading your R4i gold 3DS card.

You can follow the steps below to update your R4i gold 3DS.

1.       Download the wood kernel of R4i gold 3DS card and extract the file. Then access the folder and drag all files into your Micro SD card. (You can skip this step if your Micro SD card has already had the kernel)

2.       Download Updating patch and unzip it. Open the folder and put all files into the root of your Micro SD card.

    Upgrade Patch for 3DS V6.2.0-12 Download

3.       Run R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSi_3DS.nds to update your R4i gold 3DS card

Note: If your 3DS has been updated to Version 6.2.0, you should update the R4i gold 3DS card on a DS, DS Lite or a DSi. Keep your console fully charged, or your flashcart will be bricked if it powers off during updating.

Then your R4i gold 3DS card can work on the 3DS console with firmware version 6.2.0. 

Which R4i Cards can Work on 3DS V6.1.0-11U？

How to Set Up R4i SDHC-Silver card for 3DS V6.0.0:

1.       Download the R4i sdhc-silver card kernel from its official site

Or download from http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=1204718603&uk=1795683192. Click on “下载（45M）” to download the kernel.

2.       Download _ds_menu.dat from http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=961736620&uk=1795683192 . Click on the “下载（808K）” to Download it. Put the file into the root directory of your Micro SD card to replace the former one.

3.       Download a “改版固件.nds” from http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=967244462&uk=1795683192. Click on “下载（2.28M）”. And put it into the root of your Micro SD card.

4.       Turn to your games interface

5.       Press the “Update” on the left botton

6.       Run the改版固件.nds， then it comes to the upgrade interface

7.       Press “A” to start updating

8.       Wait about two minutes, then it comes “PLEASE CYCLE POWER”

Note: The Chinese Character "下载" means "Download". 

Then you turn off your console. After that, you R4isdhc-silver card can work on 3DS V6.0.0. Please note that the updating process should be on a DS, DS Lite or 3DS version under 6.0.0. 

By the way, this updating firmware of the R4i sdhc-silver card is not released by the official site. Currently only R4i gold 3DS card and Supercard DS two can work on 3DS V6.0.0 or V6.1.0 directly. 

How to Play Pokemon White/Black 2(US) with R4i-sdhc 3DS RTS

Many players are keen on playing Pokemon White2(US) and Pokemon Black 2(US). You can enjoy these two games with an R4i-sdhc 3DS RTS card. The R4i-sdhc 3DS RTS card can work on Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL/LL, DSi, DSi XL/LL, DS Lite and DS.

    (2) Extract the file and then you will see a folder “R4i-SDHC YSMenu”

   (3) Open this folder, copy“Games” folder,  “TTMenu”,  folder, “TTMenu.dat” and “TTMenu.nds” file into the root of your sd card.

C. (1) Go back to the “RetroGameFan Multi Cart Update v6.88” folder, find “usrcheat.dat” file, and copy it to the TTMenu Folder

   (2) Put your Pokemon White 2(US) and Pokemon Black 2(US) clean games into your SD card

Then there will be those files in your SD card：

 (3) Put your SD card into your R4i-sdhc 3ds (RTS) card and insert your R4i-sdhc 3ds card into your Nintendo console. Turn on your console.

 (4) Click “Metroid Prime Hunters ☆DEMO VERSION☆ Nintendo” → “Game” → “TTmenu.nds” →“Pokemon White 2(US) /Pokemon Black 2(US)”
